So I promised a longer post yesterday. I guess it's not really that long but it's more important, anyway. :B
I worked for a little over a month for the Census Bureau, verifying addresses (it was actually pretty fun. If only it had lasted just a bit longer. >< ) I'm hoping to get hired on for the next phase, but they're only hiring back 35% of this last phase, so I guess we'll see.
Still haven't heard back from either schools I applied to for grad school, but at this point, it doesn't really matter anymore.
On Friday, me and Av reserved an apartment over in Warren, which is partly between where he works and Wayne State. Even if I don't get in there, there's lots of other community colleges and smaller universities close by, so hopefully I'll be able to do SOMETHING (or work more. Whatever)

So I watch Bizarre Foods on the Travel Channel, and the host goes all over the place and most of the time, I'm like 'I'd totally try that!' and I've even tried some weird junk before.
Right now on the show, he's in Louisiana and he just ate oppossum and raccoon.
Why is it that all the weird fish or creepy crawly bugs don't phase me, but when he mentioned racoon I could feel my insides cringing at the thought?
Also, I'll have a longer post soonish. JEN. GET ONLINE OR CALL ME OR SOMETHING.

And I'm totally still alive. Mostly. Just have a small update.

And, I totally need a job. ;-; Not just cuz I need money, but I really miss HAVING SOMETHING TO DO, agggh! I suppose getting into Grad school would work too. I'm good with either.

02:47 pm - Life...Or something like it...
So I'm really lame about the whole telling people what's going on thing.
Here's an update for anyone who doesn't know:
-I finally OFFICIALLY graduated from CMU (even though I'd been done with classes since December, still had to wait on my Independent Research grade).
-I got hired at Mead Johnson in Zeeland as a QA Lab Technician.
-I moved home from Mt. Pleasant.
-Started my job on Tuesday.
-Signed a lease for an apt in Allendale (near GVSU), but can't move in til Aug. so I'm home for 2 months.
So I started on Tuesday and mostly I've been sitting reading operating procedures, for how to use their computer program stuff and how to handle samples and so on. It's really boring and a couple times I had to go back and reread, cuz I was skimming.
Near the end of the week they started teaching me how to do stuff, how to read the labels, etc. There's a lot to remember, but nothing seems too over the top insane yet, it's just getting the hang of it, so I think I can handle it. <3 Getting up so early is painful, though, haha. I kinda miss working nights at Wendys, but I definatly don't miss anything else about working there (except that I knew everyone. There's a whole NEW set of people to meet now!).
Anyway, it's pretty fun so far, and it's nice to know that I'll have money to pay my bills with (yay. >< ) so all in all, I'm pretty content.
Except I can't wait to move out. Dear god, Aug. will not come fast enough.
Oh, and I have a new cell number. If you don't have it already, just ask me for it. =P

Last night I had some weird dreams, but the only part of them I really remember is this one.
I dreamed that Emele answered her phone.
No, I'm not trying to be mean at all, I really DID dream that Emele answered her phone after it rang once.
How bad is it when my subconsious is so annoyed that somoeone won't answer their darned phone that it has to make me feel better when I sleep? =P

So, this is how a conversation that I had with my Aunt (who I barely see, and talk to less. At least, less than my own fam. Or so I thought)
Aunt: So how is your sister dealing with her one friend dying?
Me: Uh. What?
Aunt: Katy. A classmate of hers died in a 4-wheeling accident.
Me: Oh.
Aunt: Your mom didn't tell you?
Me: .....
Aunt: ...Should I tell you about your dad, then?
Me: Yes, please.
Aunt: He has a herniated disc. It's why his back has been hurting him so much.
Me: Oh. His back was hurting?
Aunt: ....Does your mother even TALK to you?
Me: Yes. To tell me how I'm 'recklessly spending' my money.
Aunt: Uh huh....
Me: Yup.
So thanks Mom. Yell at me for how I manage my money (which, by the way, YOU do most of. You know, telling me to send it REALLLY high credit card payments to pay it off, then WHY do you expect me to have money LEFT OVER?) but no, DON'T BOTHER to tell me my darling 8 year old sister is DEALING WITH DEATH, or that my FATHER PROBABLY NEEDS SURGERY. Thanks for letting me hear it from a second source. But HEY, it's better then reading it out of a church prayer intentions book (Oh yea, I've found out family problems THAT way before.)
